7 Things Eric Chelle Must Do To Get Our AFCON Campaign Back On Track

 1. Coach Eric Chelle must ditch his diamond formation. Chelsea played with this formation and won the Champions League in 2012/2013. To deploy this formation, one needs players like Mikel, Miereles, Makalele, Ramirez and Kanté. Ndidi has spent his prime at Leicester, as he can no longer do the tackles and cover the ground as he used to when he was younger. In the future, we should utilize the 3-5-2 formation, as ex-coach Gernot Rohr did. Eric Chelle must be flexible with his formation.

2. We need to integrate young, budding defenders like Benjamin Fredrick, Ryan, Nwaiwu, Igoh and Fernandez. Bruno, Zaidu Sanusi and Osayi are unreliable. Osayi has been piss poor for his club; same with Bruno, who sits on the bench at his club.

3. In midfield, we need young, energetic midfielders like Nnamdi, Akinsamiro, Samson Tijjani and Yusuf. Onyeka reminds me of Esiti and Fegor Ogude, all brawn without brain. Onyeka has no business getting invited to the Super Eagles. We should also move past Ndidi. Ndidi hardly plays for Besiktas. He has only played a game. Onyedika flatters to deceive; he is not Super Eagles material. I would rather have Etebor back than Onyedika and Onyeka in midfield.

4. Call up only 3 attackers in this order: Osimhen, George Ihelichana, Gift Orban/Rafiu Durusimi. Based on current form, I will pick Iheanacho over Akor Adams and Taiwo Awoniyi.

5. Call up young and electric wingers: Femi Azeez, Oseni, Zadok Yohanna to bring up competition in the role. Simon Moses should be phased out. Chukwueze can play sometimes. I was laughing when I saw Simon Moses step up to take that free kick because I knew it would be wasted. When last did we score from a free kick? Do we have a dead-ball specialist in the team at all?.

6. Nwabali should not be our number 1. Okoye does not look too committed to the team based on his body language. Arthur Okonkwo should be given a chance in November. Nwabali made no attempt on the four goals we conceded in the last two games. He was caught ball-watching in all four goals we conceded.

7. Scout for players who can improve the team immediately.

WHY DIDN'T NFA COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BAD PITCH?

IT WAS THE REASON AINA REFUSED TO PLAY. HE STILL REMEMBERS THE LAST WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA IN A POTATO FARM.

NFA DON'T HAVE THE BALLS TO COMPLAIN TO CAF BECAUSE THERE ARE ALSO A LOT OF BAD PITCHES IN NIGERIA
