Man United and Liverpool could potentially reclaim EPL titles if Man city fails
Manchester United and Liverpool could potentially have Premier League titles retrospectively awarded to them if Manchester City’s guilty verdict is upheld and titles are stripped after the appeal process
If Manchester City’s financial-rule violations are ultimately confirmed after all appeals, and the Premier League decides that some of City’s titles should be stripped from them, the league could then consider what happens to the titles from those seasons.
For example, if City won a particular Premier League season and Manchester United or Liverpool finished second, there could be a process to determine whether the title should be reassigned to the runner-up or handled differently.
Therefore, City could lose titles, the Premier League decides the consequences United/Liverpool could potentially receive some of those titles, but this is not guaranteed.
