Peter Obi speaking on Arise TV exclusive interview this morning stated that he was never offered the vice presidential ticket and he rejected. He said this when asked why he now feels too big to be Atiku’s running mate after they ran on a joint ticket in 2019.
I remember when some Atiku supporters were taunting Obi that if he doesn’t accept the VP ticket quickly, Amaechi or Makinde would take it.
Now, Obi has moved on and they have Amaechi as VP candidate but they have realized that they have no pathway.
Ojy Okpe: You worked with Atiku Abubakar in 2019. What changed in 2023 and now? Why do you now feel too big to be Vice Presidential candidate?
Peter Obi: Nobody offered me Vice Presidential ticket and I rejected it.
