KUJE CHAIRMAN CLARIFIES RECENT MEDIA CONTROVERSY, DEDICATES ADMINISTRATION TO INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE
The Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has officially addressed recent media reports concerning comments he made during a meeting with local youth and loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking to reporters, stakeholders, and community leaders on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Shekwolo stated that his previous remarks were taken out of context and sensationalized across various news platforms and social media, creating a distorted narrative regarding his administration’s core values and official stance.
Shekwolo emphasized that the meeting in question was focused strictly on administrative efficiency, local development, and community welfare, with no intention of alienating any residents.
The Executive Chairman affirmed that he holds no authority to disenfranchise any resident or citizen of Kuje Area Council of their fundamental human rights.
He reiterated that his administration remains dedicated to equitable governance, community progress, and serving the best interests of all constituents regardless of political affiliation, ethnic background, or religious beliefs.
While acknowledging the press as a critical pillar of democracy, Shekwolo urged journalists to uphold high professional standards by verifying the full context of statements prior to publication.
"At no point did I intend to cause disaffection, undermine any group, or promote policies that do not serve the best interest of our citizens.

I address you today to set the record straight regarding recent reports circulating across various news platforms and social media.
In public governance, clarity, truth, and transparency are essential.
In recent days, certain statements I made were taken out of context and sensationalized, leading to a distorted narrative that does not reflect my true intent, core values, or the official position of this administration.
While I deeply respect the press and its vital role as a pillar of our democracy, it is crucial to clarify what the intent of the message was for and who.
The remarks in question was made in a specific context aimed at addressing administrative efficiency, local development, and community welfare.
You may recall that the event that led to the unfortunate incidents was meeting with the APC party youths and loyalist .
And as the Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, I have no right to disenfranchise any residence or citizen of their fundamental human rights in the council.
Let me state unequivocally: our administration remains fully committed to inclusive governance, equity, and the total progress of every community in Kuje Area Council.
At no point did I intend to cause disaffection, undermine any group, or promote policies that do not serve the best interest of our citizens.
I urge the good people of Kuje Area Council and the general public regardless of their political affiliation, religious or ethnic differences to join hands with our administration to make kuje the area council of our dreams.
