The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has revealed that he received a report alleging that some criminal suspects are hiding inside the Osun State Government House.
Disu made the disclosure on Friday during a meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Government House in Osogbo.
The IGP said he had received several complaints that the governor and some others were unhappy with the performance of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan.
"I have received complaints that you are not happy, and some other people are also not satisfied with the Commissioner of Police for different reasons," Disu said.
He, however, disclosed that the police commissioner also briefed him about claims that some wanted suspects were taking refuge inside the Government House.
"He also told me that some suspects the police are looking for are hiding in the Government House. I asked myself, if that is true, why should suspects be in the Government House?" the IGP stated.
Disu said he had already advised the commissioner on the appropriate steps to take in handling the matter.
He added that reports had also reached him alleging that different political groups were harbouring criminal suspects, stressing that the allegations would be properly handled in line with the law.
The IGP did not reveal the identities of the suspects or provide further details about the allegations during the meeting.

Adeleke should submit the thugs he has been harbouring in government to the Nigeria Police Force in Osun State. Enough of violence in Osun. pic.twitter.com/GvNELNS5Pj Nigeriantravel guide
