 Woman Cries Out as Kidnappers Demand ₦100 Million for Mother, Brother’s Release in Ogun


A woman has cried out for help after her mother and brother were reportedly kidnapped along the Ijebu Ode axis of Ogun State.


According to the woman, the incident occurred while her family members were travelling through the area before they were allegedly abducted by unknown gunmen. She said the kidnappers later established contact with the family and demanded ₦100 million as ransom for the victims’ release.


In an emotional appeal shared online, the woman narrated the painful ordeal and called on security agencies as well as members of the public to assist in securing the safe return of her mother and brother.


The development has triggered reactions from concerned residents and social media users, many of whom expressed worry over the growing cases of insecurity and kidnappings in parts of the country.


As of the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
