Pastor Amos Isah Remanded Over Alleged Rape Of Minor

Abuja Pastor Amos Isah Remanded In Custody After Pleading Not Guilty To Raping 14-Year-Old Church Member

The embattled founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, Pastor Amos Isah, has been remanded in custody pending the submission of his earlier bail records, as his high-profile rape trial resumed on May 14, 2026, before Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi at the FCT High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja.

Justice Osho-Adebiyi ordered that his remand be at the discretion of the court.

The 39-year-old cleric pleaded not guilty to all eight counts filed against him, including rape under the Child's Rights Act 2003, sexual exploitation, coercion, emotional and psychological abuse, gross indecency, and abduction of a minor.

The court adjourned the matter until June 30, 2026, for further hearing.

SaharaReporters exclusively obtained a video showing Pastor Amos at the victim's residence at night pleading with her parents for forgiveness.

Sources close to the matter confirmed that the embattled pastor had been desperately seeking a private settlement as the criminal case against him gained irreversible momentum.

"Now Amos is secretly begging; the case is properly starting on May 14," a source familiar with the development revealed.

The visit, captured on video, has been widely interpreted as an attempt to derail justice through intimidation and backdoor negotiations.

FAMILY ALLEGES LONG PATTERN OF PREYING ON MINORS

Isah was arrested on June 18, 2025, following a formal complaint by the victim's father. The teenager alleged that the pastor had lured her into the church premises, locked the doors, and sexually assaulted her.

"This girl is just one of many. He has been preying on minors for years," a family member told SaharaReporters.

Relatives of the victim alleged that Isah has a long-standing pattern of preying on minors, often luring them into his car or secluded parts of the church under the guise of "spiritual mentorship."

The Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) had completed its investigation months ago, yet the pastor's arraignment was delayed for weeks, raising troubling questions about the willingness of the system to prosecute powerful religious figures.
