Meet Daniella Owoeye: The Girl Who Emerged Overall Best In JAMB 2026 With 372/40

 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the statistics and performance breakdown for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Out of a record-breaking 2,243,816 candidates who registered and sat for the exam across 966 CBT centers nationwide, one name has captured the spotlight: Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin.


Daniella, who hails from Ekiti State but sat her exam at a CBT center in Ogun State, completely cleared the papers to emerge as the overall highest scorer in Nigeria for 2026 with an astonishing 372 out of 400! According to official updates, she has selected the University of Lagos (UNILAG) as her first

choice to study Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).


JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, unveiled the top performers during the annual policy meeting. The competition at the top was incredibly stiff this year, heavily dominated by STEM and medical aspirants.
