Governor Soludo Reads Riot Act To Traders Who Refuse To Open Shops On Mondays

Traders in Anambra must now inform market executive and state reasons before closing their shops on any market day"

Any trader who refuses to open their shop on Monday and it gets sealed

will pay ₦20 million. if you unseal it yourself, you are liable to pay another ₦20 million, making it ₦40 million. We need money and if you decide for whatever reason you will not be opening your shop on Mondays, that's also good, no problem. If you hurriedly want to unseal it and you don't want to start going to court, you can come to us

and we do a plea bargain which must be in the range of ₦5 million to ₦10 million. The reason we are focused on the markets is that Commerce is the dominant sector of our economy and we will not let anyone cripple it. Nobody should claim ignorance, ignorance is no excuse in the court of the law.
