Senator Anyanwu Receive High Profile Decampees Into Imo PDP

DISTINGUISHED SENATOR SAMUEL ANYANWU RECEIVE HIGH PROFILE DECAMPEES INTO IMO PDP.

By Adm. Emmanuel Mba (Acia).

Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party has once again stamped his authority as a dominant political force in the South East, as he today orchestrated a massive and strategic influx of high-profile defecto

rs into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State.

In what can only be described as a political masterstroke, Senator Anyanwu’s growing influence and unmatched grassroots appeal continue to draw key stakeholders, power brokers, and political structures across party lines into the PDP fold. His leadership is not only visible it is commanding, unifying, and results-driven.

The significance of this moment was further amplified by the presence of the party’s National Working Committee , who led a high-powered delegation of National Working Committee (NWC) members from Abuja to personally receive the decampees sending a clear signal that Imo State remains central to the PDP’s national recovery and victory strategy.

Among the political heavyweights who made this bold and decisive move are High Chief Duru Mike Ejiogu, a founding pillar of the PDP and respected business mogul; Prince Eze Madumere, former Deputy Governor of Imo State; High Chief Summers Nwokie (Ikukuọma Mbaise); and Hon. Chief Sunny Chiadi, a seasoned administrator and former ENTRACO Chairman. Their defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) marks a major political shift and a direct blow to the ruling party’s structure in the state.

The momentum did not stop there. Barr. Ikenna Emeruem also joined from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), alongside Hon. Chief Chris Onye, President-General of the Igbo Community in Gboko, Benue State, and numerous influential figures and organized blocs from the Labour Party (LP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

This is not just a defection, it is a political realignment of massive proportions. These leaders are not coming alone; they are moving with formidable structures and tens of thousands of loyal supporters, all converging under the PDP umbrella. The implication is clear: the political landscape in Imo State is rapidly shifting, and the PDP is firmly reclaiming its dominance.

Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s leadership continues to inspire confidence, attract capacity, and galvanize unity. His ability to bring together diverse political interests under one platform speaks volumes about his credibility, strategic depth, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Imo State.

With this surge, the Peoples Democratic Party is not just rebuilding—it is rising with renewed strength, purpose, and an unstoppable momentum toward electoral victory.
