PDP NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE MOVES TO REVIVE LONG ABANDONED BUILDING PROJECT
In a decisive and symbolic move, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, led by the National Chairman Abdulrahman Muhammad, on Monday conducted a high-powered inspection of the party’s proposed permanent national secretariat located at Plot No. 243, Central Area, Cadastral Zone A00, Abuja.
The structure left abandoned for years by previous leaderships has now taken center stage as the current NWC signals a bold departure from the past, embracing responsibility, continuity, and purposeful leadership.
This intervention goes beyond a routine visit. It represents a clear commitment to break the entrenched cycle of abandoned projects that have historically drained party resources and weakened confidence among members. By taking ownership of the project, the Abdulrahman-led NWC is sending a strong message no viable party asset will be neglected under its watch.
Completing the building is expected to transform what was once a liability into a strategic asset—capable of supporting party operations, enhancing institutional capacity, and potentially generating revenue.
More importantly, it reinforces a new governance culture anchored on accountability, recovery, and delivery.
The move also establishes a critical precedent: rather than initiating fresh projects for optics, the current leadership is focused on auditing inherited commitments, reviving stalled initiatives, and delivering tangible results.
Further technical details, assessments, and next steps regarding the project remain within the prerogative of the National Working Committee, as the party charts a renewed course toward structural stability and organizational strength.
