I Never Thought This Will Ever Come From Me But I Trust Atiku I Believe He Mean Well—Bashir El-Rufai
In a recent statement via his official X account, Bashir El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State governor, has stated that he never expected himself to express trust in Atiku Abubakar, but admits that his views have changed after watching the recent interview on Arise TV.
"I never thought these following words would ever come from me but I do trust @atiku. I believe he actually means well. Especially this time. Stakes are too high," he wrote.
In his post, El-Rufai explained that despite past doubts, he now believes Atiku has good intentions for Nigeria, he stated that his confidence in Atiku is not casual, but based on what he observed in the interview.
He stated that he believes the former vice president truly means well, especially at this critical time in the country and added that the situation Nigeria faces today requires serious leadership and sincerity.
He stressed that the stakes are very high and that the country cannot afford wrong decisions at this moment and suggested that leaders must act with the interest of the people in mind, noting that the challenges facing Nigeria demand urgent and honest solutions.
He stated that his trust in Atiku comes from a belief that the former vice president understands the urgency of the moment and suggested that Nigerians should pay attention to leaders who show readiness to act in the interest of the nation.
