Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has praised ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi as an outstanding individual but stated that he is not suited to lead Nigeria.

Speaking on Channels Television on Thursday, Melaye argued that Obi lacks the capacity to unite the country. Obi has consistently announced his plan to run in the 2027 presidential election.

Melaye emphasized, “But let me even tell you, Peter Obi is a fantastic Nigerian. I have tremendous respect for him, and I’ve said it before, he is a fantastic person, but this is not his time to be President.”
