The political landscape of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) witnessed an earthquake of grassroots support today as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, embarked on a grueling, high-energy "Continuity Tour" across Jiwa Ward.

From the break of dawn until sunset, ten major communities rose in unison, issuing a sacred vow to deliver a landslide victory for the Chairman in the upcoming February 21st, 2026 elections.

A Hero’s Welcome:

From the Palace to the Trenches

The day began at 08:00 AM at the Emir’s Palace and Jiwa Central, where Hon. Maikalangu received the royal blessings of the Sarkin Jiwa.

The traditional council described the Chairman’s tenure as a "season of light," citing the massive electrification and road projects that have transformed the Jiwa axis.

As the convoy moved to Jiwa Tsoho (09:30 AM) and Bassan Jiwa (10:00 AM), the atmosphere turned electric.

Farmers, traders, and youths lined the streets, chanting "Maikalangu Again!" in appreciation of the solar-powered boreholes and agricultural inputs that have revitalized their local economies.

The People’s Mandate:

Community by Community

The momentum reached a fever pitch as the tour progressed through the heart of the ward, visiting:

11:00 AM – Wukara: Residents hailed the Chairman for the renovation of primary school blocks.

12:00 PM – Hulumi: Community leaders formally presented a "Letter of Total Support," vowing a 100% vote delivery.

01:00 PM – Paipe: Mothers and healthcare workers gathered to thank the Chairman for upgraded PHCs.

02:00 PM – Old Karmo: Business owners celebrated the improved security and infrastructure.

03:00 PM – New Karmo: A massive youth rally endorsed the "Smart AMAC" digitization drive.

04:00 PM – Idu Koro:

The community praised the inclusive governance style of the administration.

05:00 PM – Idu Gbayi: The tour concluded with a symbolic "Victory Rally" in the ancestral heart of the ward.

"The Work Must Continue" — Hon. Maikalangu

Addressing the massive crowd at Idu Gbayi, a visibly moved Hon. Maikalangu reaffirmed his commitment to the "Smart AMAC" vision.

"Today, I have seen the heart of the people. From the Palace to Paipe, from Karmo to Idu, your message is clear: You want progress to continue.

I promise you, as we head to the polls on February 21st, this victory will not just be for Maikalangu, but for every child who wants a better school, every mother who wants a functional clinic, and every youth who wants a job.

We are not just winning; we are building a legacy."

The tour has effectively silenced the opposition in Jiwa Ward, as the "Maikalangu/Nadabo" ticket now stands as a unified force of development, backed by royal blessings and a solid grassroots covenant.
