Tinubu Hale, Hearty After Minor Stumble In Türkiye - Presidency
Presidency says Tinubu is hale and hearty after minor stumble caused by poorly laid carpet in Ankara.
The Presidency has dispelled concerns over the health of Bola Tinubu, assuring Nigerians that the President is hale and hearty and fully engaged in official duties during his state visit to Türkiye.
Clarifying reports surrounding an incident in Ankara where the President was seen stumbling briefly during a welcome reception on Tuesday, the Presidency explained that the incident was caused by a poorly laid blue carpet at the venue, not any health-related issue.
According to the Presidency, President Tinubu immediately recovered from the minor incident and proceeded with his scheduled engagements without interruption.
The President has since resumed official activities and is currently holding bilateral talks with Turkish authorities as part of the state visit. He is also expected to jointly address a press conference with his hosts after the meeting.
The Presidency emphasised that the President remains in good health and high spirits, urging the public to disregard unfounded speculations about his wellbeing.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, addressed enquiries on Tuesday regarding the President’s well-being in Ankara.
Onanuga clarified that the President merely stepped on an object, resulting in a minor loss of balance.
“The President stepped on a metal on the floor, which made him lose his balance,” Onanuga said.
“This is not a big deal, except for those who want to make mischief out of a fleeting incident.”
“It was a mere stumble, thank God, not a fall,” he added.
The Presidency urged the public to disregard attempts to sensationalise the minor incident, stressing that the President remains fit and fully engaged.
