A fast-rising Nigerian singer, Afrobeats and Highlife star, DannyTheProphet (DTP), whose
real name is Daniel Osaro Asemota has put up an excellent performance at the recently held Timaya Day Concert, which took place in Abuja.He performed on the same stage, along with other notable artistes, including the host and "Dem Mama" crooner, Timaya, Kcee, Peruzzi, Teni and others.
The concert which attracted socialite and key stakeholders in the entertainment industry marked Timaya's 20 years on stage as one of those who have shaped the country's music industry.
This was followed by plethora of awards in recognitions of DTP's hard work, commitment and creativity in the music industry.
These came after he signed a partnership on brand promotion and PR management with Abuja-based Amity Global Network.
He performed at the National Unity Dance Festival 2025 with the theme, "Sustaining Unity Through Rhythm & Culture" at Cyprian Ekwensi Centre where he was honoured as Young International Artiste of the Year.
At the National Legacy Lecture and Nigerian Heroes Award 2025, he held guests spellbound with his musical performance, where he was also honoured as Next Rated Artiste of the year, a recognition that speaks to his rising profile in the music industry.
DTP’s journey into music began almost as early as his childhood. Raised by parents who were passionate music lovers, he was exposed to a wide range of sounds that shaped his artistic curiosity.
Since then, he has continued to record several exploits in the industry, beginning with his debut single, “Feelove”, on August 21, 2021, a record that garnered over 40,000 views on YouTube.
His follow-up single, “JOLLOF”, released on March 9, 2022, earned him broader recognition with more than 20,000 views and opened the door to a five-year distribution deal with Dapper Music.
Meanwhile, the recent plethora of awards has attracted congratulatory messages from fans locally and internationally as they say the recognitions are testimony to his outstanding skills and creativity in the world of music.
