Nigerian ‘Student’ Arrested in India Over Alleged Cocaine Concealment in Bread Loaves

Authorities in India have arrested a 29-year-old Nigerian national, identified as Olajide Esther Iyanuoluwa, for allegedly trafficking illicit substances concealed inside loaves of bread.

According to reports from India’s Central Crime Branch, the suspect was apprehended after investigators uncovered about 121 grams of the banned substance hidden within bread loaves, a method believed to have been used to evade detection.

Officials added that the woman arrived in New Delhi last year on a student visa. However, preliminary investigations reportedly revealed that she did not enroll in any educational institution, prompting further scrutiny into her activities.

The suspect is currently in custody while investigations continue. Authorities in India say efforts are ongoing to uncover possible connections and determine whether others are involved in the alleged trafficking network.

Further updates are expected as the case develops.
