Senator Gbenga Daniel Courts NELFUND To Benefit Ogun East Students

 The Nigerian Education Loans Fund (NELFUND) has intensified its grassroots outreach in Ogun State, working alongside Senator Gbenga Daniel to expand awareness of the federal government’s student loan scheme across Ogun East.


The engagement took place in Ijebu North Local Government Area as part of the senator’s Mid-Term Community Assessment and Review Tour, attracting community leaders, youth groups, parents, and prospective student beneficiaries.


Speaking at Sunday’s event, NELFUND Managing Director/Chief Executive Mr Akintunde Sawyerr described the initiative as part of the agency’s efforts to deepen engagement at government and community levels while strengthening collaboration across key structures nationwide.


Mr Sawyerr noted that the session “forms part of our broader commitment to strengthen partnerships across federal, state and community structures,” ensuring that “NELFUND’s mandate is well understood, properly aligned, and effectively delivered to the beneficiaries we serve.”


According to the NELFUND boss, the discussions “reinforced the centrality of our mission and the critical role NELFUND plays in expanding access to tertiary education financing nationwide.”


Reaffirming the agency’s nationwide reach, Mr Sawyerr stated: “NELFUND remains firmly committed to taking its mandate to every community, ensuring that every eligible Nigerian who needs this loan can access it without barriers. Our goal is simple: no Nigerian student should be left behind.”
