2027: Another Nothern Group Withdraws Support For Tinubu

From today, we have dropped the broom,” Maiganji declared, noting that the group had not resolved to join any other political party until it finds a platform that truly upholds dignity, accountability and development.

The Tinubu Vanguard, a political support group drawn from 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has announced the indefinite suspension of its political activities and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The decision was announced by the group’s Director-General, Hon. Kamilu Abdullahi Abubakar Maiganji, while addressing members and journalists at a meeting convened to review the group’s relationship with the APC-led administration.

Maiganji said the Tinubu Vanguard played a key role in mobilising grassroots support for President Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2023 general elections through sustained radio and television programmes across Kano State and other parts of northern Nigeria.

According to him, the outreach helped reshape public perception, boosted political participation and encouraged many previously disengaged citizens to vote for the party at all levels.
