Seyi Makinde's Response To "What Changed Between You And Your Friend At The G5?

Reporter: When are you disembarking from this confrontation?

Makinde: First and foremost, it's a message of hope, real hope that I want to give to all our members and Nigerians all across the nation. The fight is not just about the PDP. It is about the future of democracy in Nigeria so for us, our people should know that this is a case of it may get worse before it gets better.because we are on a solid ground. And if we have to stay here for the next two weeks so that democracy will survive in Nigeria, you will see us here.

Reporter: The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike was your friend, and you people were in the G5 together in the last eoection. What exactly could have happened? What changed?

Makinde: Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, but we would rather talk about issues. What is the issue? We don’t believe in a one-party Nigeria. We believe the founding fathers gave us multi-party democracy so we must sustain it, so that Nigerians can have options when they are choosing their leaders. That's the issue. I don't want to talk about individuals and I don't want to talk about events.
