Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Saturday for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening ties between Nigeria and Colombia
The visit is expected to bolster diplomatic and strategic relations, with a focus on governance, trade, agriculture, energy, education, security, and other areas of mutual interest.
Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, in a post on X, highlighted the significance of the engagement:
“From August 30 to September 2, 2025, Nigeria will host Her Excellency Francia Márquez, Vice President of Colombia, on an official visit to deepen diplomatic and economic cooperation.
“This historic engagement will strengthen ties in trade, agriculture, education, energy, culture, and women’s empowerment, opening a new chapter in South-South collaboration.
“Together, we are building bridges and shaping a future of shared prosperity.”
