Political activist Deji Adeyanju has stirred conversation with his latest take on the 2027 presidential elections. According to him, the opposition’s best shot at unseating President Bola Tinubu would be with a coalition ticket featuring former President Goodluck Jonathan (GEJ). Eyes Of Lagos reports,
In his words:
“The coalition best ticket in my view is maybe GEJ/Kwankwaso or if they want to go north, a young northerner/Obi. But no southern candidate can defeat Tinubu except GEJ.”
Adeyanju further dismissed the chances of Atiku Abubakar, saying:
“Atiku is too old, he won’t excite young voters. Opposition needs to excite young voters.”
His post has since ignited debate online, with many Nigerians weighing in on the possible permutations ahead of 2027.
