Singer Adekunle Gold has rewarded several first-class graduates with N250,000 each
The initiative was announced by the 37 year old on social media, asking graduates with first-class honors to share their transcripts.
He wrote:
“If you graduated with First class, post your transcripts.”
Many graduates replied, and Adekunle Gold selected some to receive the cash gift.
One recipient shared her surprise, saying she had only N1,700 left in her account when the singer contacted her.
While some praised Adekunle Gold’s gesture as a way to encourage academic excellence, others criticized the move for excluding graduates with lower grades.
