Ways To Identify A Married Woman From Some SA Tribes By Their Native Attires.

I've been contemplating on opening this thread for a while now, but I sometimes get demotivated due to nairaland's daily limit with regard to the number of pictures we're supposed to post within a day... I ended up abandoning one of my threads because of it.

Anyways, I thought I should share with you guys ways to identify married women from some SA tribes based on their native attires when attending some traditional ceremonies... We also have a variety of Westernized attires.

You can also feel free to tell me about your tribe if there's a certain attire or accessory reserved only for married women... I'll post one picture of an unmarried woman versus the one of a married woman from each tribe so you can spot the difference.

1. Zulu... A married Zulu woman normally wears a hat called isicholo, leopard hides over her shoulders, or a shawl... The first picture is of an unmarried Zulu lady.

3. Sotho... Married Sotho women are expected to wear shoeshoe dresses and be covered in a Sotho blanket.
