Twitter user who participated in the #EndSARS protest demands justice after police allegedly killed his cousin

A Nigerian man on Twitter is demanding justice for his cousin, Peter Abu, who was allegedly killed by policemen in Abuja.

Ilemona in a series of Tweets said his cousin was allegedly arrested while returning from work and his body was discovered 30 kilometers from where he was arrested. He claimed  the

cousin participated in the 2020 #EndSARS protest because he knew that if the extrajudicial killings are not stopped, it would one day get to his doorstep.

He wrote

''@PoliceNG when I joined the #EndSARS protests I did so because it was the right thing to do. I also did so because I knew that if extrajudicial killings didn't stop you'll one day bring it to my doorstep, like you have before. Like you have now. You guys have killed my cousin.

I will be writing a petition today. Cos there is no explanation why my cousin will be arrested while returning home to Aco Estate from work & will turn up dead in Gwagwalada - almost 30kms away. I will find this justice. I will find it.

My uncle served this nation rising up to the rank of Commander in the

@NigerianNavy. This cannot be the way this country repays his legacy. It cannot be. This cannot be what his mother lives with for the rest of her days.

I will find #JusticeForPeterAbu.''
