Paris Hilton is not turning to Kim Kardashian for dating advice. It’s just another odd story from a tabloid. Gossip Cop found it to be untrue.

According to OK!, Hilton is turning to Kardashian for advice about her love life after “striking out in the romance department.” “Kim

told Paris that she sets her standards way too high and needs to be a bit more realistic when it comes to finding a husband,” an unnamed “source” tells the magazine.

The alleged tipster goes on to say that Hilton’s typical dating strategy is to find “men who are extremely handsome or wealthy.” The problem, according to source, is that once Hilton gets to know a man, she “decides the guy doesn’t measure up, and dumps him!” The supposed insider adds, “Kim’s not telling her to go for a loser, she just thinks Paris would have a lot better luck if she lowered the bar a bit. Paris knows what Kim says might be true, but she’s still not ready to give up on finding her Prince Charming.”

This story is based on the word of an anonymous tipster, but Gossip Cop reached out to Kardashian’s rep, who tells us on the record that it’s untrue. Hilton and Kardashian are longtime friends, and Kardashian even got her start as one of Hilton’s stylists. Hilton also helped Kardashian get her start in reality TV when she appeared on The Simple Life in the early 2000s, so we understand how the tabloid came up with the story. That being said, it’s still totally made-up.

Additionally, Hilton explained on Jenny McCarthy’s show in May that she “feels like the luckiest girl in the world” to be where she is and single. “Growing up, I was always so obsessed with every relationship; [you’d] be so in love that you don’t really get to know yourself,” she explained. “But when you are single… I’m spending time with my girlfriends more, just really getting to know me and love me and not put all my energy into someone else.”
