Fast and the Furious’ director Rob Cohen denies sexual assault accusations

“The Fast and the Furious” director Rob Cohen has denied sexual assault accusations lobbied against him, including claims from his daughter and an alleged victim, identified as “Jane” in a HuffPost report.
“I have never assaulted, raped, drugged or molested anyone,” Cohen, 70, told Pag
e Six in a statement Sunday.
Cohen, who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman after meeting her at a New York cigar lounge in 2015, said his daughter “had decided to wage a war against me,” also noting, “I have never belonged to any cigar club, and certainly was never there with ‘Jane’. (Out of restraint, I won’t reveal her real name).”
Cohen continued, “This hateful campaign that my daughter is waging against me, and by her own admission only affirmed by her mother, is why this is happening to me.” In February, Cohen’s daughter, Valkyrie Weather, accused him of molesting her when she was a child.
When reached for comment Sunday, Weather told Page Six in a statement: “I don’t owe anyone an explanation or hard evidence, Jessica [Schulberg] and Sara [Boboltz, the authors of the HuffPost story] did a brilliant job of that already. Whatever responsibility I felt I had is over, and it’s time to move on. The only thing left to say is that Rob got it wrong: I am not hateful. I am angry.”
In his statement, Cohen continued: “I hope and pray that the thousands of people who know me, worked with me, and/or simply fair-minded people will see that this is an untrue and unsubstantiated story, which is out there due to hateful daughter and a mother/ ex-wife.
“I still pray that my daughter can find peace and happiness, so she can release herself from this web of untruths and lies, and be able to live her life fully and hate free,” he said.
Cohen’s lawyer, Martin Singer, responded to the claims in HuffPost’s story with a 13-page letter, stating, “The proposed story is an outrageous defamatory hit piece, making extraordinarily offensive assertions that my client engaged in heinous sexual misconduct, criminal wrongdoing, and other inappropriate behavior, which are vehemently disputed and denied by my client.”
