Jonathan Headlines Atiku’s Campaign In Bayelsa As South-south Drums Support

he PDP presidential election campaign recorded one of the biggest victories of its inception as the campaign trail stormed the Oil-rich Bayelsa State and home of the former president of Nigeria; Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The people of Bayelsa came out in their thousands to welcome the party’s presidential candidate; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, National Chairman; Uche Secondus, and their own son, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Bayelsa is one of the PDP’s strongest holds, as the party usually records 95% and above in the state. The implication however, is that the bridges of the PDP have been repaired and the road to Aso Rock, come May 29th 2019, has been made smoother. The respected statesman, endeared his people to vote massively for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who he has given his unalloyed blessings.

The bigger picture is that President Goodluck Jonathan and the former first lady; Patience Jonathan, are highly revered and loved in the South-South. The region which boasts of about 10 million voters, will always toe the lines of their loved son, Jonathan. This is a plus for the Atiku candidacy, as PDP becomes even sure of 98% in the state and 90% in the region.
