Nick Cannon is promoting his estranged wife Mariah Carey’s new album, and also shutting down rumors of a feud between them. On Wednesday, Cannon shared an Instagram photo of Carey’s Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity album cover with the caption, “#ToInfinity album in stores May 6th. #TheQueen #NoHate #HardestWorkingWomanIKnow.”
Ever since Carey and Cannon split last year, there have been rumors that they don’t get along. Both have denied there’s any bad blood between them, and insist they are still friends. Earlier this week, the pop star addressed a rumor that her new single “Infinity” was a diss aimed at Cannon. “It’s written for all the women, or men, or whoever’s gone through any type of relationship,” said Carey during an interview with “Access Hollywood.” She continued,
“I’m looking at it as the mantra of ‘Infinity’ is love yourself… loving yourself first to infinity. Then you can love anybody or anything else — your career, your kids, your life.”
Cannon has also squashed rumors that he was beefing with Carey. As Gossip Copreported, he went on a Twitter rant in December after a magazine falsely reported he was writing a diss song about his ex. “I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey,” tweeted Cannon. Carey’s new album is expected to be released May 18, and she’s scheduled to begin her “Mariah: #1 to Infinity” Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas residency on May 6.
