Batten down the hatches, Pirates of the Caribbean fans: The Disney franchise's latest installment is on hold due to star Johnny Depp's ongoing injury.

Production on the Australian set of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – the fifth movie in the series – has been halted until April 15, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Depp, 51, hurt his hand weeks ago, though he wasn't filming at the time.

The newlywed flew back to the United States on March 10 for surgery, and a source tells PEOPLE he had a pin put in his finger.

Back in February, Tropical Cyclone Nathan delayed shooting, which made us wonder: Could the flick be suffering from the Curse of the Black Pearl chronicled in the first Pirates
