Real Madrid Will Never Listen to Bale Offer- Perez

Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez has dashed Manchester United’s hopes of signing Gareth Bale.

The Premier League side has been linked with the Welsh winger, who joined the La Liga leaders from Tottenham Hotspur in a world-record £85.3million in summer 2013.

Manager Louis van Gaal has been told money is not a barrier to improving United’s squad, with many other top players linked with the 20-time champions. Reports suggest United are willing to pay in the excess of the world-record transfer fee Spurs received for Bale in a prospective transfer coup.

“We have not received an offer from Manchester or any other club for Gareth Bale,” Perez was quoted as saying on Marca’s website. “We would never listen to any offer for Bale, no matter what the fee.”

Van Gaal refused to discuss any potential bid for Bale at a press conference last week. The 63-year-old spent £150m in the summer to sign Angel Di Maria (for a British record £59.7m), Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Radamel Falcao and Ander Herrera.
When quizzed on Bale, the Dutch boss said: “I discuss that with my CEO (Ed Woodward) and not with anyone of the media.”

Bale, who has scored 11 times so far this season, has already recorded significant successes in his first season with the Los Blancos, including winning the Uefa Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
