The girl’s mother told police that her daughter woke her up at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, saying a man came into her bedroom, stepped on her bed and jumped out the window, KPTV reports.
When the mother searched the room, she said she found that the cartoon DVD in her daughter’s DVD player had been replaced with a P0*n movie. Additionally, a photo depicting a sketch of a woman with her hand over a child’s mouth was left in the closet.
An hour later, a woman three miles away reported that she awoke to a strange man standing on her bed. She said she screamed and he ran out of her house.
Police, who have not yet identified a suspect in either case, believe that the man probably entered the 7-year-old’s home earlier in the day and hid in her closet for hours waiting for the family to fall asleep.
This event isn’t the only recent incident that might make a person want to check their closets at night. In May, a North Carolina man was arrested after police say he spent five days hiding in the closet of a 14-year-old girl whom he assaulted.
