Not only did Kim Kardashian not know Kanye West would announce his plan to run for president in 2020, but she also never knew he had presidential aspirations in the first place. Check out the videos below!
Kardashian makes the admission on Wednesday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” confessing, “That wasn’t a discussion in our household.” Still, she told the host, “I believe he is serious, and I know that if he puts his mind to something he’ll do his best. And it’s been fascinating just hearing all the conversations that’s gone on since that announcement. I don’t know if that was planned and I just didn’t know about it, or if he came up with that idea right then and there. I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”

And Kardashian is on board with being First Lady. “I think it would be so much fun to be in the White House,” she said. “I was joking with him. I was like, ‘You’re gonna have to make it to a second term,’ because he loves redecorating. I was like, ‘You’re gonna wanna re-do the whole White House and we’re not going to be able to enjoy it.’ So we’re just gonna have to go with the flow.”
DeGeneres agreed that West is a great designer, and quipped, “I would like to see him for that reason alone, just to re-do the White House.” Interestingly, with the couple expecting a baby boy in two months, Kardshian admitted she hasn’t started thinking about names yet. That led DeGeneres to offer some hilarious suggestions like “Head West” and “Wild Wild West.”
Later, talking about Caitlyn Jenner, Kardashian recounted catching her stepfather cross-dressing years ago, and admitted she doesn’t know which gender Caitlyn will now date. “Everyone in life just deserves — no matter if we don’t understand it, no matter if people think it’s this crazy concept, it’s not really for us to judge,” said the reality star. “If that’s how Caitlyn wants to live her life, then I support it and I’m so happy for her, and I’ll try to do whatever I can to make it an easy transition for other family members.”
Kardashian also played a mom-themed edition of “Never Have I Ever” with Tracee Ellis Ross, leading them to spill on Kris Jenner and Diana Ross. Watch below!
