Ryan Adams finally gives in and plays ‘Summer of ’69’

Ryan Adams can have fun too.
The prickly rocker famous for hating sarcastic requests of Bryan Adams’ “Summer of ’69” at concerts, finally gave in and played the song during a show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Tuesday night, reports Rolling Stone.
Ryan, 40, played the song by the similarly named Canadian musician, whom he recently befriended, at the end of the second of two nights at the famed venue, an occurrence that surely shocked most in the crowd.
More than a decade prior, Mandy Moore’s former husband infamously had a fan who kept requesting the song ejected at a show at Ryman, hurling expletives and a $40 “refund” at the man on his way out.
In the ensuing 12 years, the once-volatile rocker has sobered up and, apparently, developed a playful sense of humor.
