The Rivers State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, claimed that Governor Rotimi Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress, APC, were plotting to procure a court injunction in Awka, Anambra State, to stop the swearing-in of the state governor-elect, Chief Nyesom Wike on May 29.

Mr Emma Okah, Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of PDP Campaign Organisation in the state, in a statement in Port Harcourt Tuesday, said the plot was to shop for and buy a judge outside Rivers, who will agree to do the hatchet job since the judiciary in the state had been grounded by the Amaechi administration.
“However, in the face of this provocation, the PDP urges the people of Rivers State to remain calm as their governor-elect will be sworn in on May 29, 2015, as ordained by God like his colleagues in other states”, the statement said.
