Lupita Nyongo Dress Found
After A week of looking for her Dress finally the Thief have been found
The $150,000, pearl-studded dress worn by Lupita Nyong’o to the Oscars and then stolen from her hotel room this week has been returned. On Friday, the thief took the stunning gown back to The London West Hollywood hotel and called TMZ to confess the crime and reveal where the dress was located. The garment was stuffed into a garbage bag and left beneath the sinks in a bathroom next to the hotel’s fitness center.

According to the outlet, the unidentified thief called TMZ at approximately 5:30 Eastern on Friday to give his version of events. The culprit claims he saw Nyong’o’s hotel room door ajar on Wednesday and grabbed the dress. He and his accomplices allegedly took two pearls off the gown and supposedly had them appraised at an unidentified location.

The thief claims the Calvin Klein gown, reportedly valued at about $150,000, is actually worthless. He claims the pearls are fake. The man tells TMZ he wanted everyone to know about “Hollywood’s fake bullsh*t.” That’s why he purportedly took the dress back to the hotel and alerted the media. TMZ called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and law enforcement officers went to the hotel to check out the story. They discovered the trash bag containing the dress. There’s even video of the discovery, which you can watch below. And so it seems as though the Great Lupita Nyong’o Oscar Dress Heist has been resolved. Gossip Cop will have updates, if there are any.
