Matthew Knowles: ““If I Needed Money, I Wouldn’t Sell $5 T-shirts, I’d Sell A Grammy Or An MTV Award”

There have been reports going round recently that Beyonce’s dad, Matthew Knowles selling off Beyonce’s posters and memorabilia for money.

Mathew Knowles, the father of the songstress, got a lot of media attention when he decided to hold a garage sale outside his Music World Entertainment Complex in Houston, Texas.


He sold boxes of Beyoncé, her sister Solange Knowles, as well as Destiny’s Child‘s memorabilia and he explained to a reporter at KPRC that his decision to sell isn’t to make money.

“If I needed money, I wouldn’t sell $5 T-shirts. I’d sell a Grammy or an MTV award. So that is insulting to think we need to sell $5 T-shirts. No, I don’t think so,” he said.
